Would you like to participate in North’s fantastic new volunteer opportunity? Glamour Gals, or GG for short, was founded because more than 60% of elderly residents in nursing facilities experience social isolation as a result of infrequent visits. The volunteer club visits senior citizen women to do their hair, nails, makeup, and simply chat with them. In addition to helping the elderly, Glamour Gals teaches you how to be a leader and communicate effectively! If you were unable to attend the club’s first meeting on Tuesday, the 12th, don’t worry—you are more than welcome to attend the next one! GG only visits the elders on the first Saturday of each month, so it doesn’t require a large time commitment.
