Appleton North Boys Varsity Soccer team attains the Regional Champions title in a 10-0 win against Eau Claire North. On their road to the state championships, we interviewed a staff member, a coach, and a player about their feelings going forward and shout-outs to people involved in the team’s achievements. Here’s what they had to say:

Mr. Werner (Activities Director): I think we’ve got the talent and the coaching to make it all the way to state finals. I’d like to give a shout-out to all the parents and players who have been so patient during this hard season due to Covid. They’ve done what they needed to do to have as normal of a season as possible.

Kevin Murphy (Varsity Soccer Coach): I’m excited to be where we’re at right now. Our goal for this year was to make a state-run and we have a lot of hard work ahead of us. I’d like to give a shout-out to the entire team for always working their hardest.

Lukas Kirkava (Junior, Varsity Soccer Player): We have a really good shot at winning state. Our team has the talent, now it comes down to the execution. I’d like to give a shout-out to Zack Liddell (Junior, #16). He wrapped it up tonight with two goals, ending the game early.
