North girls’ basketball took an early deficit in the first half and was unable to get back on track.

After a 33-18 halftime lead by Verona, North was able to cut the deficit in the second half to eight points but that was the closest North would get.  Verona went on an eight to one run and sealed the victory 69 to 41.

Verona shot a WIAA record of  77% from the floor, while North only shot 28%.

Senior Grace Garvey and Sophomore Sydney Levy led North with nine points each.
