Junior recovering after morning accident
September 9, 2016
An Appleton North junior suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car shortly before school on Friday, Sept. 9 in the back parking lot of Appleton North.
According to Assistant Principal Mr. Patrick Lee in an e-mail to Appleton North Staff this morning, the student “was injured when another student inadvertently ran into her with her vehicle. The student was taken to the hospital to be looked over for injuries.”
“There are no broken bones, (she is) sore and scraped up, but should be going home soon,” Principal Mr. James Huggins told staff in a follow-up e-mail.
A planned fire drill was postponed because of the accident and will be held at a later date.
