Humans of Appleton North: Alex Hohman

“Well, I was dicing some green peppers at work on a busy Friday night, and I cut the tip of my thumb off. I was in total shock and couldn’t feel anything. Eventually my coworker helped me ascend the stairs to clean and bandage it, then my manager delivered me to the ER (to St. Elizabeth’s). I thought, ‘How will I go about my daily affairs?’ I felt like life would be twice as hard with only half the thumbs. They informed me that the next day I would still have to go into work. My thumb was in excruciating pain the entire shift. I can still barely feel anything with the tip of my thumb since it grew back, but it is back… and it’s better than ever.”
