Why is she athlete of the month?
Squier placed first three times (19:03) in the Appleton West Varsity Invite on Aug. 28, the Green Bay Southwest Invite on Sept. 10, the Meadowbrook Park Invite (19:11) on Sept. 17, and placed second (19:16) in the Freedom Invite on Sept. 4.
Noctiluca: When did you start running Cross Country?
Sydney: I started XC (cross country) when I was in 7th grade.
N: What do you love most about Cross Country?
S: I love the team because it’s like a second family.
N: What is your favorite Cross Country memory?
S: At one of our practices it was pouring rain and we had to do 400s and 800s and it was one of my favorite practices because the whole team made it fun and we pushed each other and got to know each other better.
N: Why do you feel people should come to Cross Country meets?
S: During the meets it really helps when people come out and support the runners and it will help them run faster and better when you cheer them on.
N: What are your expectations/hope to accomplish for the rest of the Cross Country season?
S: Well for me I want my mental part of running to get better and for girls’ varsity I want to make it to state.

S: Dancing in Wisconsin Rapids.

Why is he athlete of the month?
Mayer is a Captain and on the watch list for the Joe Thomas award.
Noctiluca: When did you start playing football?
Andrew: Started playing in 6th Grade.
N: What do you love most about football?
A: Knowing that you are a part of something special and having about 150 brothers I can trust.
N: What is your best football memory?
A: Dominating the field against Hudson last year.
N: What are your expectations/hopes to accomplish for the season?
A: I expect our team to be the most physical team every game.
N: Do you have any plans to continuing to play in College?
A: I do not plan on playing football in college.
