Food Drive/Student Council: Afraid you’re not going to get in the holiday spirit this year? Start things off on the right foot by donating to the annual Can Food Drive, presented by the Appleton North Student Council.  We have made it a competition between freshmen teams.  Freshmen, please bring cans to your core teachers and Student Council will tally the cans donated between November 2-20th.  The winning team will receive a special incentive.  Not a freshmen?  You too can help your alma mater team by dropping off cans to your old freshmen team.  Let the competition begin!  Go blue…no wait gold…go silver! 

Attention Club Leaders!  You too can partake in the canned food drive.  We will have a Battle of the Clubs canned food drive.  The club or activity with the most cans between November 2-20th will also be given a special incentive of choice.  Let’s get the school involved and make this the best collection yet. 

Clear your library fines with canned food items in the month of November.  You CAN make a difference!

HOPE Club: is sponsoring a plastic bag & paper bag recycling drive.  HOPE Club members are collecting the bags to donate to St. Joseph’s Food Program.  They will use the bags to help distribute food to those in need in our community.  Plastic and paper bags will be collected through Nov. 30thYou can drop them off in the following locations:

Anyone interested in playing soccer this year that would like to participate in the indoor league starting in January. Please sign up to be a part of the team. The sign up is located in the school store and it is due December 10th.

Attention Garden Club Members: We will be meeting this Friday in the School Counseling Office for our Monthly Garden Club Meeting. Bring your green thumbs we will be planting winter bulbs.  Please make sure you signed up under Mrs. Davis for IE time.  

Forensics: Attention All Students. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining the FORENSICS TEAM after school next Monday Nov. 23rd in room 2345.  Do you like Acting?  Do you like giving Speeches? Do your friends tell you that you talk too much?  Then forensics is the sport for you!  Forensics is a competitive public speaking team that travels all over the state. Come join us at the meeting to see how you can get involved.  Next Monday, Nov. 23rd, after school in room 2345.  See you there. 

International Club: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday next week, International Club will be meeting this Wednesday, Nov. 18 during Homeroom in the Choir room. We will hear from Janis as well as sign up for Bell – ringing and meet our new International Club student officers. Contact Mrs. Tesch or Mrs. P. Meyer with questions.

Attention Seniors – did you order your cap and gown yet?  If not, stop in the Main Office and pick up a form.  The last day to return your completed form to the Main Office is Wednesday, November 25, the day prior to Thanksgiving break.  Please take care of this if you want to participate in the graduation ceremony in June.

One Act: Break a Leg to the cast and crew of North’s one act which competes this weekend at the Wisconsin High School Theatre Festival Finals.  North has awarded top honors at state for the past sixteen consecutive years! The only school in Wisconsin in achieve such a distinction!   Here’s to number 18!

If you have 5th period LUNCH, PRIVILEGE or RELEASE and wish to come to the LMC, you must now sign up using a new online Google form instead of getting a paper pass. After a one week grace period, students who do not sign up using the Google form will not be admitted to the LMC. The Google form link and instructions have been sent to all student email accounts. 4th period and 6th period LMC pass and study hall pass procedures remain unchanged at this time. If you have questions, please ask an LMC staff member.

Attention DECA Members! If you wish to participate at DECA Districts on Jan. 9th you must turn in your registration papers to Mrs. Dechant by Tuesday, Nov. 24th! Forms are available in the school store make sure you meet the deadline to be considered a registered DECA competitor! Any questions. See Mrs. Dechant or send her an email!
