Appleton Police are urging students to lock their car doors and keep personal belongings out of sight this homecoming weekend; people have reported individuals going into unlocked cars and stealing personal belongings throughout the Fox Valley in school parking lots.

There have not been any reports of thefts at Appleton North yet, North’s School Resource Officer Enriquez said. Make sure doors are locked at all times, and expensive belongings are out of sight through windows.  Officer Enriquez suggested parking cars in well lit areas, and parking in higher traffic areas to avoid theft.

Report any suspicious activity to Officer Enriquez during school hours at (920) 832-5500, and report any urgent information to the police department. If any students have any information but wish to remain anonymous they can report it to WeTip; all submissions are completely anonymous while the tip line is monitored 24/7 by Appleton Police Department.
