Humans of Appleton North: Quinn Countney

Jack Heimerl, Contributor

There aren’t many students who enjoy waking up before dawn and walking miles into the woods just to try and shoot some ducks. Quinn Countney is one of those students.

When I asked Quinn why he enjoyed hunting, he said, “I just love the excitement of the whole day, from the drive blasting music with my buddies, to even the hard walk in because I know we will get to see a beautiful sunrise.”

Quinn’s favorite memory came from when he had to walk through extremely thick young trees, almost filling his waders with very cold water, all for some ducks. When he finally made it to his hunting spot he got to see one of the most beautiful sunrises he has ever seen.
