Perseverance month in March

Jake Zajkowski, Junior Editor in Chief

March’s North Nine word is Perseverance.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines perseverance as a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition. However, perseverance at North can and does mean more. Many students and staff have to power through the many struggles that are faced on a daily basis, and March is their time to be appreciated.

March is when students are able to nominate staff members who represent perseverance, showing this quality time and time again. During I/E on March 6, students will be encouraged to think about the staff members in their lives and nominate the one who they think is perseverant. Nomination is as easy as a Google Form, just writing the names of yourself and the staff member, as well as a situation where they’ve proved themselves to have this quality. You can even nominate here!

Show teachers and staff that they are appreciated this month, and never forget the importance of perseverance!
