Obituary for Catherine Houser

Catherine J. “Catie” Houser, age 17, of Appleton passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Catie was born on September 28, 1998 the daughter of Caren T. Starszak and David D. Houser. She was a Junior at Appleton North High School. Catie was a quick-witted, smart young woman who had a gift for making people laugh. She loved music, going on adventures, rock and tree climbing, snowboarding, going to the family cottage, and had a gift for playing violin and guitar. Catie was very friendly, and was able to brighten the mood of everyone she ever met. She was a lover of animals, especially her cat, Link.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bernadette Lowrie, and her uncle, David Starszak.

The Memorial Service for Catie will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Menasha’s Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Please wear Catie’s favorite colors, grey or green. Inurnment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Combined Locks. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Catie’s name.
