A big chunk of Jacob Zajkowski’s life has been spent reading. In his life span, he has read over 200 books. “I read about 30 books last year.” Zajkowski said, “The longest book I’ve ever read was over 1,000 pages.” “Reading allows me to escape my problems for awhile, without actually leaving. It’s very relaxing. My favorite genre is Fantasy.” Zajkowski started reading at a very young age, but only recently discovered his love for writing. “I started writing because of my eighth grade ELA teacher, Mr.s Hietpas. She introduced me to NaNoWriMo. I have written about four or five books since then, they were all fiction.” NaNoWriMo, an acronym for National Novel Writing Month, is a creative writing website that challenges its users to write a 50,000-word novel during the month of November. “I want to go into the Journalism career when I’m older. That’s why I am the Junior Editor of The Noctiluca.”
